![]() | No access after 3 days since requestHi, I'm hoping a mod would see this thread please. It's been 3 days since I requested access to trades (with the 5+ posts and 5 days since registration requirements also met) but I don't seem to have the access. Thanks |

![]() | I'm not familiar with the site or how it's run, but if the site uses an automated system it may be a Cron Job, which only runs from X:XX to Y:YY every night and in that time only gives access to Z people in que (lets say there are 120 people in que and the cron runs for 1 hours. It takes 1 minute to grant each person access (insanely long time for a machine, but this is for a simple example) then on Monday, person 1 - person 60 get access, but nobody else. On Tuesday person 61 - person 120 get access, etc --- 1 person per minute, 60 minutes, 60 people per day) If it's manual then it may take even longer depending on how much time the Admin(s) have to monitor who needs access, and how long it takes (on some boards it can take navigating a half-dozen pages just to grant a user access to a specific forum) of course this takes even longer if the admins are busy or on vacation. If it's automatic and runs constantly, then... um... maybe something broke in an update? |
