How successful are trades?

I can see loads of trades in the trade section, i was just wondering, how many people have actually had success with a trade advert?

Ive done 2 trades by replying to adverts and one trade set up myself. All 3 went fine and were all sorted after 3/4 days. The advert i put up got a reply within one day, so pretty good i think.

Just wondering with me starting one, after seeing all the one's that are still there was just wondering whether or not i'm hoping for nothing :P

I think alot of trades are still there cause most peole have already signed up to alot of the sites already, especially on FJ and GA, Just need to find someone who hasnt signed up to the site you want a green for.

It seems to be a bit slow just now but I've managed 6 trades (7 but I got scammed 1 time) on Exceem in a few months.

members who have completed trades have a feedback score, have a look at that. or maybe see who has a high post count on the forum and is obviously a valued member.

I find that it depends what site you are trying to get people to sign up for.
Some networks aren't getting great press on here at the moment so I would guess people are hesitant to even start. Other networks, like Apple FJ, are a nightmare to get people to join as it seems everyone already has an Apple account.

Even offering over the odds in money doesn't seem to draw them in at the moment.

A high post count doesn't always mean a good member though.

One possible reason for that is that most of the time with trade scammers, they offer sometimes ridiculous amounts of money. Obviously I'm not saying you're a scammer if you offer a lot of money, just that it's one way scammers lure people in. I know it's worked on me before. <_<

Yeah didn't think of that but it didn't work when I offered £15 or £20 which is either side of the £17 the green is worth.
I'm no scammer, just desperate to get the last green on Apple FJ.

I stupidly removed all the advertising to my Apple FJ link from everywhere I put it so I could concentrate on my new Gadgets FJ account.

It depends, GA give £25 per ref, and also depending on if it's the persons last green needed or not whereas FJ give £17 so expect less than that for a trade on FJ

In response to the OP: There are often loads of trades open because a lot of people don't look at current trades and open new ones. Have a look beforehand, what you may be looking for, may already be there without having to create a new trade yourself. Unless it's greens for cash that you're after.
