When you leave a comment on a trade post...

This may sound like a daft question, but I left comments on a few trade posts earlier and then realised that I didn't have a note of which ones they were. I ended up having to search through each one to see which ones I had commented on - so, other than remembering the member's name to look up their trades later to see if they have replied to my comment, is there any other way I would find out?
I can see in my profile there is an inbox for PMs but nothing to track trade comments (I think)

the only way i know of is to save the links to the trades to your favorites/bookmarks

i think jon did talk about this before, and he said he'd do something about it but it appears he's not/ forgotten about it.

I'm sure if you send him a polite pm he'll have a look into it.

do people who are completing your trade receive a PM when you post a comment.

cos i dont like it when i post a comment in the trade, then have to tell the person ive posted a comment.

it's not off topic. it's completely on topic.

People who are doing trades with you (when it's your trade) do not get a pm when you reply on your own thread. I think you should at least have the option to get pms when ANY thread is replied to. (i don't think you can subscribe to trade threads)

That is actually kind of what I'm talking about. I was looking for an easier way of finding out if there has been any replies to comments, be it on my own trade thread or in response to others. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it a bit awkward!

Right what happens is:

When someone leaves a comment, the "owner" of the trade listing will receive a PM, every time.

The person who left the comment will not gain any notification when comments are left on that trade in the future.

I am working on something so people who leave comments on listings will get notifications when further comments are left, that is easy to code, the hard part is coding it so people can turn off notifications for that trade listing, while leaving others going, or if they want to turn it back on etc (I have started on this but it wont be live any time soon unfortunately)
