trade scheme rubbish?

I'm very new to this whole thing, I made two green for green trades with different users, my offers both went green very quickly but I am still waiting for greens from both my trades, I have been ignored by one of them when I PM'd and had a response from the other but still no greens!! I have now raised support tickets for both but they have not been answered, I hope I'm just having an unlucky start? or is this common?

Re: trade scheme rubbish?

It really depends what site they completed for you because the site might have not updated yet. If they have still not gone green within a few days then contact jon and i'm sure he'll be able to sort you out

It's your sign-up's that'll need to create support tickets rather than you as well! Site owners can only track greens by the person that says they did an offer, as they'll need to provide screenshots, emails etc where necessary!

Can you pm me the details of the people who said they'd do offers for you, as well as links to the trades in question as well please, and we'll look at it for you!

Cheers

Re: trade scheme rubbish?

I have completed 2 successful trades and had one bad experience. The bad experience came about when a new user told me about offers on his network. He told me about a free credit card offer, which I was interested in. However when I signed up for the network the offer did not exist. Meanwhile he insisted the offer was there. He never signed up to my network, then started ignoring me.

This annoyed me because not only had I been mislead, but now I had signed up to a network that I could have traded on.

I left negative feedback for this user, so he has now done the same for me. So now I have a tarnished reputation too. Really annoying and frustrating.

I was talking about support tickets on here not the giveaway website, only one of my offers required a support ticket and it was credited very quickly, I'm annoyed at the other users for being so selfish

This may sound harsh but at the moment there is no new infomation relating to your trades, so there isnt really a need to update a ticket just to say no new infomation...

I am looking into this (As well as 3 other trades which so far this week) all i can say is the scammers wont profit from this.

Re: trade scheme rubbish?

It's falable at best and unmentionable at worst.

I've taken part in 11 trades since mid December and given people ample time to go green and so far six w*****s have scammed me and I'm still waiting on another three, but I'm not holding my breath. It's no consolation that if you report them their accounts get closed, I've wasted six network sign ups.

I feel there should be some sort of procedure that if after a couple of months it's obvious that you've been had then your status should get reset on the networks and offer sites so you can try again.

No offence to Jon and co, you never promised anything but it's poo that the system is sooo easy to abuse.

Re: trade scheme rubbish?

But to be honest we can only do so much! We haven't got the time to verify every single person who tries to trade, although any possible scammers, people who don't trade according to the rules are banned for a certain amount of time, depending on the circumstances! We also report them to the network involved, and are keeping a close eye on any trades going on! I personally am checking trades once a day and will report anyone who does seem a potential scammer!

However, as I said before it's not easy to tell, and sometimes it means a scammer will scam before we can do anything as they don't seem like a scammer until then if you get me?!

If you're unsure of anyone, don't trade, and if it is a newbie, you are within your rights to ask them to go green before you complete your side! Generally we don't advise this with longer term members, but with newbies it is acceptable!

We're also looking to see whether it might be possible to make newbies unable to post until they've made a certain amount of 'useful' posts, or been a member for so long, but we are doing everything we can regarding trades in the meantime!
