Help in website design

Hi Ive just signed up with Freebiejeebies and received my referral link for an Ipad 2 and want to look at advertising my referral via setting up a website or blog. The thing is I am totally new to this and whilst I'm aware there are various templates etc I want to make sure that if I set something up it is done properly and will be eye catching to people.

I was wondering therefore if anyone can either give me help in starting off from scratch by helping me in designing something? I appreaciate Im asking a lot but if Im doing this I would like to do it as professionally as possible so anyone's help would be appreciated.
