Feedback on a logo, please?

Hey guys,

Apart from revising for my exam, I've been designing a new logo for my ZoomTuts site which is due to re-launch at the end of this month. I tried to go for a simpler but more creative design:

What do you think? Would love to get some feedback or some new ideas for the design.

looks great but to be honest i like more that logo that you have on avatar then this one in post..logo should be something like for branding or something like that, without additional information...if i were you i would go with that on avatar

I really like it, clean and simple... but (isn't there always!) I think I prefer the original logo! Fancy and snazzy and showed off what you could do... but so long as that lot comes across in the new site, then that's fine! The new logo is clever and, in context, works!

The one in the first post is the header of the site, which is why it has additional info. I will be using the one in my avatar for everything else, like advertising, watermarking, etc

The style I used in the original logo is used quite often on the internet and will probably be used in one or two of my tutorials and so I wanted this new logo to stand out a bit and be more original

Looks great but I think it would look even better with a bit of colour. Maybe put some orange in it like this header from the warezbb forum:

I agree with corky, was just about to state that actually, it's a bit dull and doesn't really suit your site, don't get me wrong the logo looks great, could just do with a touch of colour.

Agree with corky and ryan... GREAT design, just lacking a bit of colour in my opinion, but look's great!

Hmmm... I'm not feeling the orange that much. Looks good but show us different colours as well. Wanna see how the logo will look with different colours. The orange Pencil looks good though!

Hehe, the colour scheme is grey, white and orange hover links, which is why i used orange. I havent bought the theme yet, but im pretty certain I will buy this one - My Journey | Just another Themefuse Demo Sites site .

@iFreeZone, what other colours do you think would fit there?
