Help Removing Wedding Watermarks

I recently got married and had some professional photos taken. The photographer has supplied me with a CD containing all the pictures but with a watermark (Logo in bottom corner and print diagonally across the pic) To order the cd we need to pay £800.

I was wondering if there is anyway to remove the watermark fairly easily.

Can anyone offer any advice?? Would be much appreciated.

It's your WEDDING, apparently the happiest day of your life which you will remember and cherish for the rest of your life, chose just a few photo's off the CD and tell him you only want umber 1 ,2 ,3, 56, 49 etc. etc. and it won't be £800.

Basically, stop being cheap! Some people these days

LOL. Yes I have selected 20 photos, which we have paid for and have developed. But that still leaves 170 other photos on the CD that I would really like without a watermark on. At £10 a photo or £800 CD I cant get anymore.
Hence my question about removing the watermark.

Unless the jpegs are your personal property, its illegal to remove the watermarks without the publisher's permission... blah blah blah.

There's no universal software that can automatically remove a watermark since there are different types of watermarks. You can try using image editors like photoshop to clean up the watermarks but it involves some work especially if your dealing with a lot of images.

could give this a try i suppose Watermarks removal tool 5.5.7 download free - Remove watermarks from your images

The images will probably be in JPEG format. When you save in this format all layers are flattened effectively overwriting whatever was underneath the watermark so it might be impossible to do it without recreating the missing bits by hand.

Does he/she have a website that you can view the photos on? You'd be surprised how many sites have the un-watermarked copies on-site too!

I paid £1000 for my wedding photos, which included a proper printed album, printed proofs of all 200 pics, and a cd full of em.

With my dad and my stepmum; Dad was perfectly happy having hi-res photos on his comuter, yet stepmum wanted a physical paper album.

That's something I'll never understand!

So you want to steal your photos?

If you didn't want to pay you should have found a cheaper photographer.

I've got to say even if I knew I wouldn't tell you! This is this guys business, and i'm guessing like most of these agencies they are fairly small fry.

What you are doing is stealing from them. I know people don't have a problem when it is an album from a multinational music group, but this clearly isn't!!

You wouldn't steal £800 worth off booze from your local offy, or an £800 car from the local car dealership, so why steal £800 of photos from a photographer?? Especially when you knew the prices before you hired them. If everybody did that he'd soon be out of business, which wouldn't be fair to him really would it?
