Tutorial: Reflecting Text

Here's another tutorial showing how to make reflecting text. These steps can be applied to Photoshop CS2 and CS3.

You can save the whole tutorial by right-clicking on it and saving it to your computer as it's one big image.

At this point you can apply different effects to the text. To save it as a transparent image, remove the background layer and save as a PNG.

By the way, this particular effect can be applied to different objects as well, just make sure that the perspective is right.

Something I made:

Any questions, feel free to post in the thread or PM me.

Enjoy!

Sorry if I misunderstood this, but by this do you mean if you change the font style it will automatically be reflected in the duplicate layer?

Cos I tried it and it didn't work, I had to play with the font and style at the start before I duplicated it cos I couldn't change the style of the reflection once it was rasterised.

Am I doing something wrong?

Great tut none-the-less dude!

Re: Tutorial: Reflecting Text

Thats a cool way of doing it. When ever i make reflective text i duplicate the layer and rasterize it but then i do the rest with the rectangle tool with feather at 10px and just select half of the duplicate text and click delete, always does the trick for me.

Will give this way a go cheers
