Graphics for a Band

Right graphics designers. I have a request from a friend of mine who is in an indie band. A few guys in my year make up the band but I told him he should really get some better graphics for posters and for websites.

Heres what they are using now:

So if you could try and come up with something the same size and using the same 'the turns' style writing and star it would be great.

Also I would like a banner roughly the same size as the other ones, not got a specific size but not too big. About the width of this post if you know what I mean and not too thick.

Thanks.

Looking good. I'll try and find out the font from him. I'll have him do the deciding on which he wants too.

Also, don't forget about the banner image. I'm looking for more of a logo look that they can use for multiple things eg. posters.

lol He doesn't mind what font it is at all so I sent him a link to each of yours Ben and he's going to decide if he wants to use any of them. I'll post again when he makes his mind up.

Re: Graphics for a Band

I spoke to a band member today. He says that he like syour work PottageB but it isn't quite what hes looking for. He's decided he would like someone to create a logo for the band. One that they can use that people can look at and say "thats the turns symbol" if you know what I mean. I know that may be hard.

He says he'd prefer a red colour theme. I think the kind of image hes looking for is one the same size as the one above but with the symbol/logo in the middle and "the turns" underneath in a decent font. He doesn't want the star or any music symbols though. Just a plain image in a red theme with a new logo in the middle and the turns written below.

Thanks very much and everyone can have a crack at it, it will be a real test of skill

Is anyone having an attempt at this? It would mean a lot to the band if they could get this.

Re: Graphics for a Band

Yea I know it is but he's really just looking for an image with a logo in the middle. I've never used photoshop so I wouldn't know how hard/possible it is. Just use your imagination and think of a logo or symbol for an indie band and centralise it with 'theturns' written below in the centre.

Re: Graphics for a Band

that logo/font would be more suited to a hardcore/metal band, not an Indie band!

Re: Graphics for a Band

Yea, it's good don't get me wrong, but they're just looking for a plain unique logo with 'the turns' in a similar font as to that in the original post. With a dominant red colour. Thanks.

Re: Graphics for a Band

From an outsider's p.o.v that last one is perfect I reckon...

Plain and the arrow is a very memorable thing, good if the band were to make it big.
