Exceem Euro 2008 Predictions League/Competition

There's a long way to go still, can anybody clarify what happens after the group stages, do you just get points for correctly picing who goes into the next round!? I can't remember choosing a score just selecting a radio button of the winners!

confused me too because we had to predict winners of games that might not even exist

Well it is a prediction game I suppose only rather than doing just the group stage games then the knockout stages after that, you're doing it all at once.

You're right, you just get points for choosing who goes into each round, regardless of who they play.

aye, but it gets confusing. take this scenario...if you picked the correct teams from group A and B but got the first and second teams round the wrong way, it gets weird.

For example, Group A winners=portugal, runners up=turkey, group B winners Croatia, runners up germany (possibly). So the first quarter final is Portugal V germany but if you predicted the positions to be the other way round, this match would actually be the second quarter final, lol.

you could predict portugal beating germany in game 1 only for that match to be game 2.

Anyone understand all that? I'm off for a lie down

Yeah it is confusing, but I think you get the points for predicting the correct quarter final, semi final and final teams!? With extra bonus points if you get the teams right!? That's how I understand it anyway!

lol, basically game 1 could be portugal V germany and game 2 could be croatia V turkey...ok?

now, you may have done your predictions in a way that you now have portugal V germany as game 2 as you expected them to finish differently in their groups.

Thought I would post the rules from the actual website!! Using my head you see!

* Groups predictions - (give the exact score for the 24 games of the groups' qualifications).
* Final predictions - (give the winners for the 1/4 finals, the 1/2 finals and the final)

Points are as follows....
* exact score - 6 points
* exact winner - 3 points

Final predictions
* 8 points per teams in 1/4 final
* 10 points per teams in 1/2 final
* 12 points per teams in final
* 14 points if you find the euro 2008 winner
