| Totally dead. I think I feel guilty for feeling sympathy for him, bearing in mind what he has done in the past, but the loss of any life is a loss too many.

| Gaddafi did turn into an incredibly evil man, but he also made some very notable contributions to Africa as a whole. For example, he funded and assisted the Umkhonto we Sizwe which fought against the South African apartheid regime. Therefore his help assisted in finally putting to end the apartheid system in 1994. He also put billions of dollars into funding better housing for the lowest income people, and Libya have the best health care in Africa and the best education and human development index, and the best GDP per capita in Africa too. Remember there are two sides to every story. The West have a lot to answer for, the way we portray issues through the media is very one-sided, usually resulting in "West is Best and we should intervene."

| I'd also like to add that the way the rebels and the media have handled Gadaffi's death is absolutely appalling. Producing images and footage showing him begging for mercy before being manhandled away to be shot on top of a moving truck in the middle of baying mob before dragging his body through the streets and leaving both the ambulance and morgue containing his body open for all to take photos is disgusting. Simply a show of savagery which makes them just as bad as him.

| Kadaffi was a terrible man, and he was dead in a terrible way. Too much shocking for me, he deserve to be responsible for his own acts, and should pay in jail in my opinion, not with life. The new governement used the same weapons that kadaffi, and they loose a big chance to show the world that they are different of kadaffi. PS: I'm against all the dictators, but don't forget, that we have some economical dictators around the world... I think these issues should be solved more ethically... |
