If you are pointing about the other thread, Al-Qaeda aren't the only organisation or bunch of individuals to bring terrorism to the name of Islam. You seem a bit dim.

We won't know for a while if this ends up for the good or bad. Expect retaliation to the news, but you just have to hope that Al-Qaeda only breaks down from this. Time will tell, but as it's such a massive organisation who knows? And as it's so big they may try big things now.

No, mate. I don't think that's gonna happen. I don't mean to say that I'm some kinda close friend of theirs or some crap like that, but I don't think they're gonna stop. The biggest difference between the non-extremists and the terrorists is that they've totally misunderstood and misinterpreted the readings in Quran. The writings in there are kinda puzzles. You can either interpret in your own manner, or there are some books which have already done that. They're looking at the religion from a wrong view.

Yeh no problem, i do like rational/philosophical debate and i find debating on the internet always seems to come across more harsh, which isn't intentional! Anyway, what makes you right over them? People aren't necessarily wrong just because they don't share your belief. I have read parts of the Qu'ran where there is cause for misinterpretation and there are definitive parts in there which you can interpret like the extremists do. It all depends how you interpret it. There are contradictory parts in there which people interpret differently, some as peace, some the other way round, and that is why some kill in the name of Islam. From what i could see anyway with Bin Laden, he wasn't really in the forefront for Al-Qaeda for a while, losing him i don't think will do much on reflection, but will just create retaliation in the next days, and weeks.
