hardly like you've got einaudi, britney spears, hall and oats, sigma, hill song united, kila kella and arch enemy there ...

but if your saying there is only two types of music, good and bad, and that your music tastes are diverse, then yeh
Yeah I wouldn't say Dropkick Murphys and The Beat are similar.

What is this basic music genre you mean? Guitars? lol

yeh, cradle did seem a little outa place. i meant really broadly speaking, as in standard verse, chorus, verse, lay out bands / artists mainly guitar driven, male vocalists etc etc.

in the same way how broadly speaking this and this are 'similar' in that they rely on modular generated tunes, midi etc etc. both broadly 'dance' music even tho one is obviously relaxed minimal and the other dnb.

makes sense in my braaaaaaain

I don't see why bringing up your musical taste ego was necessary here?

Either way i don't know why people think they have a broad taste when all they listen to is varied guitar / male vocalist music. What's the deal with having such a broad taste anyway? Enjoy music for what it is

An actual varied taste is someone who listens to a lot of pre 1960s music, i'm talking baroque, classical, romantic era and then the many different styles in the 1900s like expressionist, minimalist, impressionist, many jazz styles i could go on. (I'm not talking out of my arse here and will admit i only really have the slightest knowledge of such styles thanks to A level music but never call myself a listener of it). And then post-60s, rock, metal, electronic (probably the broadest of the lot). I'm generally an electronic fan anyway (90s underground stuff ftw), my taste is fairly basic, ultimately 99.99% of people's are, i don't listen to much else atm, not that electronic is limited because it is vast as hell.

anyway music is to enjoy is the message.
