Is it worth it spending the extra £100 for the 3G version or am I better off getting the non 3G version and buying a MI-FI dongle?

It's up to you. If you're gonna use 3G then buy the one with 3G if not, then non-3G..

Well I checked Three(the phone company) and their prices for 3G on Ipad is more expensive.

I might be better off buying their Mi-FI dongle for £49.99 and then paying £15 for 3gb instead of paying £20 for the same on the Ipad.

I don't use 3G much anyway. Only when I am away from home and that isn't often, maybes once or twice a year.

I wouldn't go with the 3G... it may be an extra £100, but then you have to add on the cost of the contract.

I'd go with the wi-fi as I get wifi at home, work, university, uni house. The only time I'd get annoyed is on the train... but you don't even get much 3G signal on the train anyway!

Yeah that is true.

The mobile signal whilst travelling on the train is pretty awful.

You have to ask yourself how often am I going to want to access the internet while not at home or at work with my iPad. And if the answer is only once and a while, then that extra $100 plus the contract fees are not worth it.

You could do what I do and use your 3G mobile phone as a wireless hotspot and your iPad could piggy back off that.

I'd personally go for the 3g but for the simple reason that I spend days at a time away on a fort in the North sea.

It would be nice to have something to do at nights while I'm out there and having the net and possibly WoW when that becomes playable via a streaming link would be fantastic.

I wouldnt spend extra for 3G as you will have to pay more to your provider anyway. Wifi is better and alot of places have Wifi to connect to
