BNP's Griffin Invited to Royal Party

Mr Griffin was set to attend a similar party last year but pulled out after an outcry over his possible appearance.

A Labour MP has described the idea of Mr Griffin attending as "sickening"

Mr Griffin failed in his attempt to win a seat at Westminster in last month's general election and the party's share of the vote fell sharply compared with its performance in European elections a year earlier.

I dont see why not either, he is getting invited because he is an MP and not because he is the leader of that particular Party.

He is actually an MEP but yes I agree that he should be invited on that capacity. Don't think there's any real debate about it - his views shouldn't come into the equation when he's invited as an MEP.

Nick has the exact same right as any other politician to attend the Royal Party.

It makes me laugh when people say he shouldn't be allowed because "he doesn't represent equality", I always wonder, "how does this make you any better?"

As much as i dislike the guy and what the party stands for, he has every right. He is an elected MEP so he should be treated no differently regardless of what he believes.

Reputation, views, actions, they are all irrelevant. The only criteria that matters here is that he is an MEP and therefore he has the right to be invited and to attend the paaaarrrrteeyyyy.

If we were to single him out and refuse to invite him, how are we any different? Sure it isn't the same severity, but it is the exact same concept.
