Christian Music topping the Charts...Facebook Campaign..

Has anyone seen on facebook, or heard on various radio and news programmes about the facebook campaign to get the song 'History Maker' by 'Delerious?' a Christian band to Easter Number one? It's like the RATM campaign at Christmas.

What do people think?

Personally i thinks its amazing, not just for religious reasons, but that a collection of individuals all working together for a common goal can have such an impact on the charts

its also a good song, if you like Christian music

So..thoughts?

Delirious? were the 1st band I saw live! (under 16s club!) They were really good!

thats awesome, I used to love delirious! kinda gone off them now. But it is nice to see Christian stuff featuring in the charts, for example the bible never goes into the book charts even though it is top every week?

I think exceem should start a similar campaign, to promote a song to get to the top of the charts at christmas, lol.

True but we'd never agree on a song, lol. Or more likely, we'd all agree on a song then Ben would give 100 reasons why a different song would work better

do you think if this becomes a habit they will disqualify any song which gets in through "boycott"?

I dont see how they can as the chart is all about which song sells the most, however rubbish that it is or however it made its way into the charts.

i guess they could introduce a 'recent release' kind of rule, but then groups could jsut re-release songs to get round that maybe...i dunno.

Personally i think its refreshing that anything can make it into the charts based on sales.
