Do Aliens/UFO's exist?

Ok, theres loads of proof for either side of this argument and i do actually believe there is something out there for two reasons, the Universe is massive, nobody knows how big, there are billions of Galaxies which all have 1000's of planets in each. There has got to be life somewhere else. I have seen two UFO's in my life, one above my back garden in broad day light and another at night, on holiday. I filmed the one at night (2 years ago) and when i was filming it i was looking at the camera, it was there, when i played back the footage, it wasn't there

Obviously don't go into the big bang etc, because that is touching on religion and how the Universe was created.

So is there something out there???

I dont believe so, i think science has proven that earth is the only habitable planet for water and therefore life.

Its hard to say about other universes out of our own (because there is no proof there is any other ones), but i dont believe there is life outside earth in this universe.

UFOs do exist. I threw a bag of rubbish in the air, and I didn't quite know what was in that bag. So that was a UFO.

That might actually be down to your camera. Most cameras aren't sensitive enough to catch something small in the dark.

Not quite, all planets haven't even been discovered yet.

Most cameras compress recordings so what you see on screen and what the recorded output is, might be different.

If you don't know what that flying thing was, though, then it definitely was a UFO.

I believe there are UFOs...

"oh look, there's a UFO"
"oh yea... hang on, it's a plane"
"oh... look at the FO then!"

Nuff said!

Although most stuff is military based, they're working on products miles in advance and technology. They could/would seem like "an alien craft" and the army admit it could be so they dont give away their secrets!

Also, I never understand why aliens would visit some sleepy village full of nutters etc. And why do "aliens" have to have amazing technology? They might just be slime! In fact I reckon the closest to alien life form is probably bacteria or something on another planet.

As for your camera... When taking a photo you can see most stuff ok on the screen in the pic... then when you look at the actual pic it's not such good quality coz of the dark. Basic camera technology can't handle everything and picks up on only a few main points.

Didn't know that, interesting. Thanks

But i know i saw it by the naked eye lol so i've still got to say it was there. It was an orange ball (no not the sun, it was pitch black outside), it was moving and staying in the same position and moving again. Then it went up and vanished, seiously i watched it all, i stopped filming after a bit.

Probably a paper lantern...
I assume you stopped filming when you were sucked up by a ray of light and anally probed?

lol, no i wasnt, but most people are when they talk about this.

btw... the MOST likely thing it was was a satellite returning through the atmosphere and burning up... you should see how many are in space...

I think this is a drawing, but the Metro had a pic of it:

Is that seriously how many there are? Lol!

Well i'm not really sure if it was a UFO, but a burning satalite doesn't go in different directions, up then down, sideways, staying still, etc.

Larkino, i respect you probably don't believe in them but you've got to respect other people's opinions, if you want to post in this thread, post something good and nice, or don't post at all!

I think you need to separate these two questions- certainly for me, and probably many others, UFO's and aliens are two completely different things.

Most UFO's would appear to be either hoaxes, planes or something similar (although a few could be the real thing). So on the whole, I would say that I don't believe that the UFO's that many people claim to see are real.

I agree with the statement made earlier- considering the size of the universe, the probability of our planet being the only one with life on it is far less than the probability that there are planets out there with life (in any form) on them, so I would have to say that there is life out there.

Also, if you're SURE it was a UFO, it isn't any more is it? cos you've identified it I'll leave you to puzzle through that one!

If I'm sure that it's a UFO (unidentified), then it still remains unidentified.

But you're clearly identified it as being a UFO, so it is no longer unidentified. When someone says to you the word 'UFO' you understand what they mean (usually an image of a flying saucer pops into your head), which means you have identified it.
