Illegal Downloading of Software - Justified?

i use 7zip which is freeware

edit: but if there was no freeware equivalent i would have pirated winzip, knowing fully well that i'd never pay for winzip. i used winzip demo for yrs and never once thought about registering and getting the full product.

have you seen the counter that tells you how many times you have used it and how many files you have unzipped?

its a guilty conscience counter!! (also tells you how many days you have been using it!)

seems very strange because winzip clearly dont care too much about ppl not registering as there are no limitations. as i said i used ti for yrs and the only difference i noticed was a registration reminder popping up whenever u open it.

besides i have no guilty conscience when it comes to piracy. just because someone can sue me for something doesn't make it wrong.

there are lots of laws that i dont agree with. bigamy for one. i think bigamy is wrong but i dont think it should be illegal. i mean adultery isn't. as an atheist i just think that the laws of god and the laws of man should be kept separate.

bigamy has its own penalty clause - multiple mother-in-laws.

Back on topic...
All of the games I have brought I downloaded illegaly before (Check my steam account),
mainly because i enjoyed them and wanted to play them online / play them again.

Also the time it takes for me to go online and download a game is about a third of the time it takes to go to the store and get it.

I will download anything I want, when I want. I have made this point before in another thread.

"[if you]had a job which you hate, which barely pays for the gas/electric/water/rent/family/food/travel you may end up realising that the only form of escapism you have is to use what is accessable."

I will gladly use what I have at my disposale to make my standard of living that litle bit better. My happiness is more inportant than some company's. Besides even if what I want isn't available for free, I wouldn't buy it anyway. So really, no loss either way.
