Does redeeming a MW3 Prestige token reset your stats?

Im on rank 28 and have only just noticed i have a token from a previous game.

If i use it now it won't send me back to rank 1 will it?

no. Unless you redeem it on the "reset stats" option.

i have another question actually...

on Black Ops i ranked up to 60 and didnt prestige.

am i able to load that game now choose to prestige and get a token for that game as well?

or did it only work prior to launch, because if so that kinda sucks

yeah you can prestige and get another token. but you might as well just prestige on MW3, it takes the same amount of time.

edit: RE original question: you have to be 10th prestige to get that specific unlock.

how sure are you that this def works? the game's only just come out so i need to be positive on this really or Ill end up prestiging and resetting my Black Ops progress for nothing lol

Not positive. I don't see why they would make it otherwise though, as they want as many people buying/playing all their games as possible.

ye i was thinking maybe they might disallow it for a while to encourage more immediate MW3 sales, until maybe later date or something

i like black ops though and didnt prestige for a reason so I don't wanna risk losin my unlocks for nothing that wud suck
