game are only offering a deposit. this does not guarantee you a place in their preorder que. spoke to them yesterday about it.

the only shop..... as far as i can see that has them for preorder just now are gamestation. you need to lay down a £20 deposit.

i have 3 on preorder under different names at 3 different shops........

according to the guys in gamestation the 20gb version will only be released in japan. and the ps3 will only be available in black on launch day.

the gamestation price is £424.99 for 60gb, so get your deposits in quick.

yeah i guess, but remember its going to be a worldwide release this time around, so not out in japan/america first so i think you might not get as good a deal as the way the xbox360's were selling.

thats why i got 3 on order...... sell 2 on ebay, the profit will pay for the one for myself. free ps3 cant wait. may order another few if i get the chance also.

these will sell like hot cakes...... the demand will far out strip the supply. especially since its out at the time when everyone will be buying christmas presents. and what will be at the top of every small childs christmas shopping list!

put it this way

i see people paying £310 plus £20p+p on ebay for the xbox360........ people are still paying this price for a console that you can walk into just about any games shop and buy for £290........... there is a constant supply of these consoles in shops now. its no longer a console that is hard to get.

but people still pay stupid money for it! its crazy. people assume because they are buying something off ebay thats its either hard to get or its a bargain. in the case of the 360....... neither is true.

so think how much they will pay for a console that will be in very short supply up until about february at least........ and they wont be wanting to dissappoint their kids on christmas day.

i wont loose money on them

but im very confident that they will pay for my console....... even if i get half the price of it ....... i will be a very happy man.

I hear you on the ebay thing. I've seen people buying games and dvds and stuff for well over what you can buy it for on any highstreet just because they got into a bidding war and had to win!

gamestation have already stopped taking pre-orders for the PS3 now, Game are apparently doing bundles only for £650+ and that leaves this place - dvd.co.uk (£500 to you)

At least i am getting mine after launch hopefully if my offers get credited. If they get out of stock which they say will not happen i am sticking mine on ebay, 360's were going for like £400+ which is mad, so if the ps3 60GB is guna be £400 i could get something like £600.

I am going to wait and see what happens after launch to decide to sell it or not, i have gota say i am on a sony fanyboy, my dad got me a ps1 when they first came out and i loved it being a kid

Aslo i was never planing on buying a PS3, i said that about 360 but i think its a pritty good console, got my doubts about the ps3.

i rememberr when the xbo 360 came out and was being sold on ebay with like 3 games for like £1000, it was insane - the ps3 will do the same cause of the demand at christmas.
as for pre ordering, i'd love to but there's no guarentee you'll get it on release day.

The big thing going for it is the multi region aspect - and considering the 10 years that have gone into the processor (said in a recent review that it'll revolutionise the cpu world) it's an exciting prospect imo and i can't wait to get one!

this is why i hate sony now they have become lazy (stealling features from other competiters e.g. motion sensors, xbox live, xbox guide button) and money hungury. The ps2 was great but the ps3 jus burns a hole in your pocket! Xbox 360 and wii ftw!!!! www.wii60.com have the same opininon
