Gamer stuffs PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles into one case

Sure, we've all thought about how nice it would be to have our PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles in the same enclosure. But, as many similar thoughts go, we left it at that.

Not content with letting a good thought simmer, Reddit user timofend accepted the challenge and built himself a gaming mega-machine -- he stuffed the new slim model of Microsoft's console into a PC tower alongside an older 80GB PS3.

Looking to save some funds in the process, the über-gamer skipped out on a liquid cooling system -- but he notes that when both machines are running simultaneously, they each hover around 100 degrees Farhenheit (38 degrees Celsius).

That was my first thought, surely there's room for a Wii too lol. He's releasing the documentation on how to build it... so i'm sure someone will go one better and add a Wii with liquid cooling; the whole works!!

i would get rid of the ps3 and put a wii in there coz i hate ps3's. although my wii always just gathers dust and gets neglected so probably take the wii out. i'll just stick a bunch of fans in there to keep my xbox cool at all times, sorted

My first thought was, why does he need both? There's not enough hours in the day.

It is pretty cool though.

Wow! That's a cool idea! But I'm 100% sure that the companies wouldn't like this... But cool creativity there. Nice share, corky!

Would be nice for an online PC retailer to start making something like this and sell them, however like some people have already said they would no doubt run into some legal problems with Sony and Microsoft!

When I first read this I thought you'd got it for free

Anyway looks very cool, bit bulky and I can't work out why you'd want two at the same time but it was a challenge to do it I suppose

I thought it was freebie originally too It is a bit bulky and could probably save space having them separately. Is that the disc drives in the front?

I've been thinking of doing this with computers before. The main stumbling blocks are not having room for two motherboard output areas, and cable management.
