STV is Scottish Television and I guess UTV is Ulster TV, just ITV regions.

Similar content to UTV but with some local programs.

It doesn't really matter anyways, you can't access content that isn't in your region, so there's no need to worry about it.

Does that mean I (in STV region) wouldn't be able to access ITV content if it doesn't air on STV.

Because STV is to poor to afford half the dramas ITV produce so we keep hearing all these programmes advertised only to not be able to watch them (unless you have satellite or cable).

Think it goes by postcode which the system asks you for, try putting in a postcode for Yorkshire.
Google a postcode for a travel Lodge in leeds and use their postcode

Has anyone watched anything on ITV Player (or one of the others). If so what was the playback like.

I've just tried to watch something, straight after watching a couple of programmes on iPLayer. The beeb programmes played perfectly but on STV player it's very jerky.

This another piece of STV crap or are all the ITV players like that.

I think its the Silverlight technology they use. PS3 has never liked it.

BBC iPlayer works well, good picture quality, but ITVs picture is blurry for me.

The iPlayer's picture was better than the last DVD recorder I had so I never bother recording anything off the BBC, I just watch it on iPlayer.

It doesn't look like I'll be doing the same for ITV though.
