surprised this hasnt been updated yet. i cant play my copy yet as its a gift for xmas from the misses lol. but i do have NFS in the meantime haha

anyways what are your thoughts on this? any good? ive watched some vids on youtube and it does look very good.. just seen this one too, some guy got a custom cockpit for his wheel etc

so yeh what is it like guys?

The negative user reviews are funny

Alot of people complaining about how theres only 200 completely rendered cars but i dont see a problem with that seeing as the racing games iv played have only had about 10 different cars

Bought this today, and to my honest opinion

What a load of crap!

It just doesnt feel real when driving, its hard to explain what I mean but it feels almost wooden.

I've been playing NFS Shift recently and the dynamics in that game are sooo much better, you feel like you are actually in control of the car.

GT5 not worth £40

I don't think so, i haven't played so i could be wrong but GT5 has been in development for years to come, your probably used to the style of need for speed and see it as being realistic.

I've been watching videos of Gran Turismo 5 (not trailers but undergroundgaminguk's GT5 walkthrough) and I have to say it looks awesome. Can't wait till Christmas.

Nope, I have played all of the GT games and they have always been the same, and this is no different to GT4.

Its hard to see whats new about and why it took them 5 years to develop it.

Im not saying Shift is realistic, just more realistic than GT5.

The visuals are stunning though, its playability that lets it down for me.

I know it's not everyones cuppa tea but I'm addicted

The snag I've now hit is that on Level 25, the Endurance race options appear including 24 hour races. You can't save the race at any point so i will have to play a few hours and then pause the game over night and repeat for about a week, lol. If I then get beaten on the last bend, there will be hell to pay....or a power cut....aarrgghh

currently level 21 in A and B licence. I find myself playing b licence more, and only dipping into A licence to help my driver out, in terms of money and prize cars!

yep its realtime from what ive read on other forums. and me personally will not even bother with them events. im not running the risk of losing my ps3. you gotta keep it on for hours and hours to run the risk of getting the ylod. thanks but no thanks lol..

also i hate and cannot stand the bspec. sooo boring. would b better if they had fast forward button or something. im at lvl 21 on aspec and lvl1 on bspec. dont think ill do much more on the bspec either. as much as i love the game. i dont love it that much, that ill play a race for 24hrs non stop or watch my drive do some racing.. thats the only things i dont like about this game.

ive been spending alot of my recent time online racing the karts lol
