Xbox live gold seems to be the same price everywhere most of the time. I'd definitely buy it now, before the price hike in November I believe, and if you order straight from the dashboard, you get free MS point :O

The price increase only effects 1 month subscriptions (5.99 instead of 4.99) so that doesn't bother me but I know last time I brought a 12 month code I got it from a website for like £22. Surely someone knows of such sites?

And I'd never buy from the dashboard, unless they did the offer like a month or two back where is was something like £24

Just seems to be pot luck as to what you get on your dashboard and as i've got the preview dash at the mo, i'm not getting anything worth while..

As for these free points, not seen anything about it...

yeah but the ps3 isnt very good online, you pay for quility also i looked on my dashboard when i popped home at t break and there wernt any offers on there

Wii and pc is also free online.
Re. Psn plus, it's been out for ages and doesn't affect anything. It's an optional extra that gives discounts, early demos, free games, higher chance of betas etc.
People who don't have it can still access everything for free, games, online movies, browser etc. Unlike live.

So pretty much xbox gold then lol, but they really need to let silver members play online

I doubt Microsoft will ever allow Silver Members to play online, they would lose so much money.

plus, if they let silver members play online, what would be the point in gold? they would have to give a mass refund to gold members if silvers could play...xbox live is better quality then PS3, i have both, and for playing online, i definitely prefer 360

I think I'd feel a bit cheated splashing out for a game and then having to pay for the "pleasure" of playing online...just my opinion

well there are always promotion on your dashboard. Saying like "Go gold for $3 a month or something like that. Right now if you renew your xbox live, you will get a blacks ops zombies avatar.

As above, I'm in the dashboard preview program so aren't seeing alot if any offers... also offers aren't general, they're different for everyone, its more luck then anything that you get offered an offer, hence me asking for somewhere to actually purchase the code...
