New Xbox 360 Controller!

Any one seen the new controller yet? What you think?
New Official Silver Xbox 360 Controller With Improved D-Pad

It only comes with plug in play kit... I like my nice light wired controller, hopefully they release a wired one too. As for the D-Pad I never really find myself using it anyway. Looks nice though, really like the colours!

That looks awkward to use, might be better but i dont care anyway as dont have xbox.

Is mainly just the D-Pad and colours that have changed. The A, B, X, Y buttons are all grey colours now and they changed the shape of the analog sticks a bit. If you look at the other pictures, the main one does look pretty much the same lol.

They've stuck another dpad one and spray painted silver and bundled it with a play and charge kit. The price of Live is also going up. Microsoft are getting greedy -_-

A solution to that problem is buying online from websites that use email delivery of the live codes and ms points. They are so much cheaper than like well known sites and in store. If anyone wants one of these sites PM me

Yeah, I tend not to buy points or subscriptions straight off of Xbox Live, but buy them from shops on cards since you can often find them on offer. Usually ones that just instantly email you the code like jrjokerz said.

And as for the new controller, does the twistable D-Pad scream "Breakable" to any of you? I only find myself using the D-pad in a couple of arcade games really. Not many retail games rely on it so heavily.

Might actually be easier to use as these analogue sticks don't make your thum stick in the controller like the orignal xbox 360 controllers, they would make your thumbs rest of top judging by the shape, just like the ps3 controllers. Now to get an xbox 360 slim or a ps3 slim next.....

Oh they're only special edition.

To be honest, I don't have any problems with the current design. I like the weight, I like the size and I like the shape. I don't really like the idea of having those four buttons the same colour (apart from the x). Having each button a different colour seems important to me, every game I know with a menu system tells you which buttons do what, and usually show a coloured picture of that button. To me, it just won't feel right.

i cant wait for this pad as playing Tekken is hard work and was looking to buy it again for the PS3, This might save the day.
As for live going up in price, im kool with this to. Us xboxers paying for live is the reason why we get xbox exclusives like we did with GTA and CODMW2 but now the PS3 now has a payment option and this is now also brining exclusives first to the PS3 so microsoft has to up there game.
