 | Which console to get?As the proud owner of an aging DS Lite, an ancient GameBoy classic, and an iPod touch, I consider myself a handheld gamer. I don't have a Wii, or a PS3, or an Xbox. Just those 3 handhelds. I also don't do a lot of PC gaming, as my main computer is a laptop. Now, I'm 17, and I decided it's time to get myself a 'proper' console. Personally, despite my love for Nintendo and all things Mario, the Wii really isn't for me. So, my question to you is this: Which console should I get?
I'm personally leaning towards getting the XBOX at the moment, but we'll see what arguments you have for each. Whichever one I do end up getting, I will almost certainly be getting the 'Orange Box' for it. I do love Portal. |

  | Xbox for sure! The new stuff they have coming out is pretty awesome.I don't currently own any type of gaming device console or handheld but i can see myself getting an Xbox360 slim from freebiejeebies myself.

| NO Contest PS3 all the way. cos it just does everything. If you wanna watch youtube videos or some such, iplayer is built in. if you got movies or music on your pc /laptop then you can stream it to ps3 to watch on big tv. all online gaming is free need i say more but ultimately it depends i guess on what all your mates have if you want to play against them. |

Xbox is good too, got good games and yah lol as you can see I dont have an xbox and not much more I can say even after playing on one for about a year at uni... | well i personaly im a proud wner of a xbox 360 and i recommend it but since you want portal get ps3 they are getting portal 2 xbox not.. |

Gabe Newell (head of Valve) merely stated that they would be bringing Steam-based services to PS3 and that the PS3 version would be the best version of Portal 2. Portal (1) has been out on 360 ever since release, IIRC. | |
