Hi

Has anybody here Jtaged a 360 before, im looking into doing it but got a few questions i would like answering

yeah im going to go online... host a mw2 lobby then when its banned replace the keyvault and get it unbanned to do the same thing again lol

OK you can try it if you want to but i won't recommend it. Microsoft like ban you from Live completely

yeah but you can unban the console, which is what i intend on doing once its banned

Really?

I thought the banned data was saved LIVE-side, not in console RAM?

correct me if im wrong on techincal terms for things as thats whats confusing me the most... but from what I can tell, you get a keyvault from another unbanned console and can replace the banned one with the one from the unbanned one and you can then use both consoles online

thats my understanding of it, but as i said im not 100% sure on the techincal details but i do know that you get a keyvault from either a KV seller or get one yourself and then replace it with the one on the banned console... making both work on LIVE

but refering to your post, it would make sense if it was saved live-side as i think the keyvault is what LIVE bans and recognises everytime you sign in etc. so replacing it means LIVE thinks you are a different console

Having a look around the internet it seems the whole changing the KV was patched by Xbox in the NXE update so I'm not sure if that's really an option for you if your console gets banned

if you have a jtag'd xbox surely that doesnt matter if there has been an update have you have access to everything you need to and any update wont fix that

however it may stop consoles with the update from having the KV taken from them, in which case you just find a console without the NXE or buy a KV from a KV seller as there are plenty of em about

even if i cant unban it, i will just look to buy another one and jtag that as the money i make from the modded lobby will hopefully fund another one
