Question about PSN accounts and DLC

My friend says that if one person has bought DLC on their PS3 that person can then go to a friend's house and sign in under their own account, download the DLC to their machine and then log out and when that person logs in with their own account they too will have the DLC (for completely free).

This doesn't sound plausible to me as it seems Sony wouldn't be so stupid to overlook this.

Can someone please correct me on this because my friend is pushing me to do it with MW2 Stimulus and I don't want to risk getting my account deactivated or something.

It works this way;

1) Your friend buys the DLC and downloads it on his machine
2) He lets you sign in to his account on your machine and download the DLC (Create New User)
3) You log on to your User and just play it.

Sony allows this because you are able to download the games/dlc's bought from the PS3 store on 3 different PS3's..

It's in case you get a YLOD and therefore you won't have to rebuy the game.

OK thanks but just because you can install the game on multiple PCs, that doesn't necessarily mean the DLC will work with 3 accounts.

Are you sure Sony allow this? If there's even the smallest chance of me getting deactivated there's no way Im doing it. After all, I paid for mine fair and square. Sorry, but i just want to make extra doubly sure, lol.

There isn't a chanc that your account can get deactivated, mainly because there's no way that Sony can have anything against you.
