MW2 Online tips

Hi all, as the title says really.
I've had my ps3 for a week now and have just ventured into the dark shadey world of MW2 multiplayer haha.
I'm just after some general pointers/ which perks to use when starting off etc.
As I currently get owned, and also find myself getting the most travelled award thing haha.

Any help would be appreciated

What class are you currently using?

mess around, find the class that best suits you. Don't shoot unnecessarily.

I find that the best thing you can do is just get to know the maps well, and also take note of when you do well, what classes you were using, how you were playing (be it running around, sneaking, flanking, camping, sniping etc.)

lastly, don't check your stats all the time, you will die more, lol. have fun, try classes that give you jokes too, stabbing classes, rpg classes, that kind of thing

Everything Hutch says in this video is pretty much spot on. Can't really put it better myself - except as larkino says, dont forget to have some fun messing around with random classes - kill/death ratio isnt everything. Personally, loving the akimbo magnum/glocks, riot shield and rpg

tbh the rpd isn't as good as it was in cod4, I would recommend either the scar (assault rifle) when you get it, or the mg4 LMG . the perks dont sound too bad though, I prefer scavenger, just as it's basically unlimited grenades and ammo

I generally use

P90 with holo sight
M93 Raffica/Spas-12

Claymores and Stun grenades
Marathon Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

It works for me, but everyone is different.

Try not to go all Rambo because you will probably just get yourself some major deathstreaks.

Try to learn the maps and work out best places to camp/ where other people tend to go to etc.

Also keep an eye on the killcam, like if you see someone is using heartbeat sensor to anhialate you switch to a class with ninja/cold blooded.

Cheers for all the tips people. I'm just a bit frustrated really as I've gone from 3rd prestige With 40+ kills a game with 3 deaths on modern warefare reflex (on the wii) to the complete opposite lol.

I will be sure to use the tips and will rep all.

trying to join a game at the moment

but every time i hear the same things

"we are being dominated", "enemy apace incoming", "enemy ac130 in the air" as soon as i join a bloody game

do they really think i am gonna stay in a match where the score is 150-50 and there is all kinds of air support in the air

5th and 6th prestiges against level 10's

matchmaking in this game is absaloutely retarded, they stick all the good players to go against the bad ones (all the prestiges in one team and all the noobs in another)

Yeah, I found that past about lvl 60, mathmaking started to get very strange. I'd LOVE to see a matchmaking patch - mybe something allong the lines of if a Dom game is over 100 points in, it doesnt put people in - I dont like joining half finished games, unless you are specifically joining someones session.
And when a team is just getting nailed by air support and it seems like you're the only one trying to take it out whilst your team blindly runs into chopper gunner fire...
Can't blame you for quitting those games mate..

my PS3 situation update: Spoke to Steve from Playbackups today, my PS3 has been sent off back to me by courier with the engineers report i need to claim from amazon. Aiming to have it sorted within the next 2 weeks, depending on how much amazon try to mess me about...

use the M14A1 for hardcore matches and famas or core matches. when playing core make sure you have stopping power on
