It all depends what you want to play on the laptop, if your thinking of playing all the latest hard core games at full graphic settings then I'd stay away from almost all current laptops.

Though this laptop will play such games such as World of Warcraft, Warhammer online and even maybe Crysis at standard graphics at good FPS.

Remember laptops were and still to this day not designed for gaming, the actual body design of a laptop is far too small and the more power laptops produce the hotter they will get which makes their life span a lot less.

With the money you spend on this laptop you could buy a PC ten times more powerful.

Stupid question but is it possible to use a laptop to control a desktop remotely? Like have a desktop on the other side of the room but use the laptop display to use it and the laptop keyboard as well? If not wirelessly, then with a USB connection?

Kind of, there are several remote applications but depends what you want to do really.

EDIT: Look for real VNC I think thats the kind of thing your looking for
