Fixing Scratches

Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd let you guys just in case you haven't tried the following before.

I was having troubles with my Fallout 3 disc it would stop at a certain point in the game and this was due to some scratches on the disc, I really didn't want to buy the game again as it never really seems go down in price. So I looked around for some advice and found out a crazy piece of information. If you rub toothpaste into the scratch then clean off with water it could fix the problem. I tried this, installing the game to my hard drive just in case, and by god it worked!

So if you have games that aren't working due to XBOX 360 grinding them down like mine use to do then maybe this tip will help you out.

LgS

Or if you wanna go the safe route, game shops have a machine that can fix scratches. It usually costs but there's no chance of buggering your disc up even more.

actually you can get your scratched discs repaired professionally, theres a lot of places online that do it but it costs too much and in most cases you can get a new copy on ebay for cheaper.

its best to do it urself with brasso but if its an important disc u dont want to take a chance with then do it online

ye thats about the same as the online places, but they repair scratches as well as burns, although some scratches cant be repaired it depends how deep it is.

and £3 per disc is a lot to pay, as i said u cant usually buy a second hand copy for that on ebay (all singles, most albums, most ps2 games).

ye for expensive or important discs its worth it, but most discs it aint

interestingly of all my ps3/x360 games (about 18 in total) ive only spent more than £30 on 3 of them - fallout 3, singstar with mics & guitar hero 2 (which ive now sold)
