question about guitar hero world tour

Is guitar hero world tour for the Wii an add-on for guitar hero 3 as I'm a bit confused and don't want to get the wrong thing, lol.

We have guitar hero 3 and the guitar for the wii so if this can be used I'll get it.

guitar hero world tour is a whole new game, with all the new instruments. so you don't need GHIII to play it.

I think you can use the old guitar for world tour, although somebody might need to confirm that

This is why I'm confused

I dont know if getting this game will be pointless as we only have the guitar.

well with the new game, you get drums, bass, microphone etc, plus a bunch of new songs.

so it's a whole new game, not an addon

yeah, I just need to know really if the game is any use to me as I'm not getting the rest of the band.

if you can get it cheaply, I would say it's worth it...

Thing is, the kids play guitar hero 3 and just really want more songs etc, not a whole band. It would only end up in musical differences and them splitting

well, when I said cheaply, I meant for a low amount of greens

you could buy it just for the new songs. have you bought all the new extra songs off xbox marketplace (assuming your using xbox)?

A PS3 is what xbox 360 users buy a few days after the RROD

Microsoft took a risk calling it the 360 but not many people realise that meant how many days it lasts for, which is just after the years guarantee runs out

lol, i have a wii, ps3 and an xbox 360 (still boxed) but at least I remember now that I have it. Tried selling it but no one wants it so using it as a door-stop.

You can just buy world tour solus i believe which is just the game (and you can then use your existing guitar) but if you buy the whole package you get the drums/mic/other stuff

it's not if you want the new songs. as I said above, it depends how cheaply you can get it (sorry, how many greens!).

You probably won't need the new guitar, the GHIII guitar should work, and the new songs and new features are quite nice.

Don't know how well you'll be able to play it with just a guitar though
