![]() | Re: Loosing weight with the WiiThe wii fit is a great concept! Ronaldo you talk about why dont people just go to the gym to get fit, but people arent always confident enough to exercise in public, and feel imtimidated with the prospect of people watching them. I see it as a cheap introduction into the world of fitness, as many people are first put of by the expense of joining the gym with joining fees and then monthly fees on top, and with the belief of having to get a whole new wardrobe to exercise in. The balance board will allow for greater interactive games on the wii and with the inclusion of the new motion sensor for the remote think of the possibilities on future wii games.

And the space outside...ah yes the fresh air, the steep hills everywhere, the kids laughing at you...and thats only the summer. Winter brings it own set of fun sucking problems; the icy chill, dark nights, rain that is more freezing than simply nice and cooling. And finally, and this is something that pisses me off. Not everyone who is overweight constantly stuffs their face with junk. Other than the occasional snack or two in the evening, I don't eat that much crap. The problem is imho I don't eat breakfast and don't do enough to burn the calories I do eat (walking the half mile to the shops and back obviously isn't enough). Hopefully the little exercise I will get from playing the Wii will do that. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Loosing weight with the WiiI've got a Wii Fit (for about 3mths now) and I think it's great. I haven't lost loads of weight using it but I am more toned and flexible than before. The problem I find is that unless you're doing the free step or free jogging you're not getting much of a work out as the "games" are too short; so get used to the Retry button. At Ronaldo: the wii fit is not just for exercice, it's a game concept - u use the board for Family Ski, etc... it's fab, get one!

| Moderator | Re: Loosing weight with the Wiii reckon ill get one soon getting to the gym is fairly impossible when you have 2 kids because i either need a baby sitter so i can go in the day or i have to wait for the kids to be in bed and my husband to be home to watch them , by which time im about knackered and ready for my own bed , so the wii fit would be good for me because i can just do some whenever i get chance
