![]() | Help!!!!basically i heard about turning my ps3 into a pc, i followed steps off this site Turn a PlayStation 3 Into a PC - Sony PS3 Computer Mod Hacks - Popular Mechanics i got to the end just about to install Ubuntu but when i restarted my ps3 it just came up with a blue screen? has anyone tried this? does anyone know how i can fix it?

| The Hoff !! | Re: Help!!!!oh ..... er ... I'd probably try removing the hard drive then booting the ps3 up .. Then re - inserting the hard drive .... Hopefully it would then recognise it as new hardware and may let you re-format it back to its normal ps3 setting.

| Intel Core 2 Quad | Re: Help!!!!you might have to re-format the hard drive, your PS3 might not do it. If you remove your harddrive from your PS3 and plug it into your computer, (you will need a converter from mapplins for your harddrive to plug into a computer IDE port, there only about £5.00) Then delete the partition on the PS3 harddrive using a windows disc. Plug it back into your PS3 and it will find new hardware and format it for you. hope this helps

![]() | Re: Help!!!!Hmm very "dodgey" to try these from random guides off the net. Very risky unless you can grasp the whole concept and then just use a gudie to aid your modification. Id say defo reformat the harddrive as mentioned. Does any text come up on the screen?

![]() | Re: Help!!!!its not windows, its ubuntu and no the wireless didnt work, but all the hardware worked fine ive now re-formatted the hard-drive because i got bored of it didnt really benefit me, i only did it to experiment with it really
