  | Is it that much better ?Hey everybody ... I am currently working towards an xbox 360 elite on gifts.fj (would have it by now if it wasn't for a couple of offers not tracking correctly) Whilst i am struggling to get the all important 11th green i am debating going for the standard xbox 360 (probably about 9 refs) I am not going to be using the 360 as a streaming device (i'd sooner use my ps3 for that) and am wondering if i would actually benefit from having an elite or would the difference be minimal ? WAF

| Re: Is it that much better ?Uve got to way up whether you want the 100gb extra storage, which essentially is the only diffence other than the colour. If you wanted it black you could always get a can of spray paint and a black face plate. Personally i think 120gb in a console is crazy just for demos and xbox live games, for other things such as music, pictures and movies you can just stream or plug in an external drive/flash usb. If i was you with 10 greens (presuming thats what you have because your struggling for the 11th) id just grab the 360 at 9 and get them to chuck in a cheap game to use all 10 or just save that extra one for later when/if you get more.

| Re: Is it that much better ?agree with h2w there. just go for the premium package, ur not missing much by not going for the elite. colour and memory is the only difference and you would be better off getting a game instead. cheers

 | Re: Is it that much better ?yea, to be honest the elite is just another money making scheme. it's not really much better apart from the colour, hard drive and the falcon chip. ( which apparently doesn't make much difference anyway). i'd stick with the good old premium
