Looks like the Sony Sales have taken over Microsoft but this little section rounds it up for me..

Despite Sony's overhauling of Microsoft in Europe, both firms' sales are a long way behind the Nintendo Wii.

Ive had a 360 since them came out and upgraded to the elite about a month ago cost me £220 if only i knew of this site before hand. Got a wii as well. working on getting a ps3 now with my custom order. Not played a ps3 yet so cant compare them but the 360 is amzing love fifa 07 anyone got it and want a match pm me we could play for greens lmao only joking hope thts not counted as trading??????

I've got a Wii and a pretty decent PC but I really want a PS3/360 but I cant decide!! On one hand you have the fact that the 360 has been out for a long time now and has quite a few good games behind it and is pretty well priced. On the PS3 side the games may not be as good right now but once the developers really get their heads around the hardware there should be no stopping it... And don't forget PS3 Home!!

But I still cant make up my mind on which one, which console has the fans to influence me to their side? :P

^^^what one do most of your friends have? with online gaming being such a big part of games now I think that's the most important thing.

(although I did the opposite and went for the PS3 when all my friends have an xbox)

That would be the PC :P. As far as I know, maybe 3 people have a 360 and 2 have a PS3 and about 4 on a Wii. But its pretty much PC gaming for me while I'm at Uni halls, during the summer I'll be playing console catch-up (Just remembered Super Smash Bros. Brawl should arrive at the end of the month, that'll be my summer gone! )

I've had all 3 consoles, the 360 was great but the damn thing did my head in by breaking, so I sold it in pure anger the wii bored me when not with friends and family. And the PS3, although it hasnt shown why its better than the 360 yet it will do eventually (it was the exact same story with PS1 and PS2, developers took a while to unleash the pure beauty of it) but it will eventually become the best console out there when developers understand it!

It's pretty good but I've never been too into the smash bros games.

Well then I'd say probs ps3, as its got the bluray player, and if microsoft convert to bluray to keep up with the size of games etc, then it'd just be another extra you need to buy. But that's just my opinion, I've not played the PS3 yet (hopefully arriving this week from R.I.), but to me it just seems a bit better.

Do to my overall sucky-ness with all things freebie I may have to get the PS3......With cash (). Although there is supposed to be price cuts and new versions out in June and with my birthday in July I'll hopefully only pay a small share of the price

I've had nothing but fun with the Wii so far and with SSBB that virtually guarantees friends camping over at my house for weeks on end (although it does get to the point where you just wanna scream GTFO!!)

you're gonna pay! surely you could get 1 by july? This'll be my 1st freebie, took me 3 months, but think it's doable, especially if you've got summer, and you can say you're friend can only play smash bros if they sign up

ye its my birthday on monday so I'm hoping to get a replacement hard drive for the ps3, which I'll hopefully have by then, I'm skint atm, so will have to rely on birthday and freebies to pay for any games or anythin.

Lol, did you get all your greens from friends/family? I've got no luck trying to persuade them that these things work. I was gonna rely on trading G4G/G4C but my luck is practically the same there too .

And if you are looking for upgrade HDDs for the PS3, I think This Isn't bad at all.

nah about 5 were trades. I didn't really have too much touble as most people wanted 2 weeks of free dvds, and then the other option is cash which nobody can ever say no to. I gave a few people a fiver and they could do coral if they wanted and bet without any risk of loosing their cash. or they could keep the £5 and do lovefilm.

I only did G4G trades, which means that I'm signed up to quite a lot of sites, but means in future when I need something new for free I don't need to worry about completing the offers cause it's already done.

I think the best thing you can do is just mention that the BBC did a report on them and showed that it all works, and the BBC wouldn't just lie about it.

I was planning on doing 15 G4Cs at £10 (yeah I know that defeats the point of having it free but both people get something out of it, I spend a lot less and they make a small profit depending on the offer).

And yeah, I've shown them BBC reports, G4 reports, all of that stuff and while they (I think) see how it is legit and all, its the individual networks they are apprehensive about - Understandable really but after you show them a place like eXceem and they still have their doubts, there isn't too much more you can do.

Still, looks like the PS3 will me mine at some point, just possibly the 60gb version

I think they stopped making the 60gb one.

The other advantage of doing G4G other than the fact that people are often more willing to do them, is that you've got a great chance of winning your money back. Over all after all my G4Gs I'm up £80 from online bingo sites.

The only other thing, which I've suggested to quite a few people recently, is to join a conga for an ipod shuffle, get your 2refs from that, and then when people see you actually got a free ipod they'll want to sign up.

Right, I need to get back to maths so I'm off.

Yep. Stopped making them a while ago. Where you been guys? lol! Only 40 gb version available right now (unfortunately not backwards compatible like the 60 gb one ) and they were plans to release a 80 gb with backwards compatibilty. Somehow the europe plans for it got side tracked at it only available in USA. Will be out in europe eventually, Hurry up Sony! lol

Ye that's what I thought. Mine's 40gb, got a pm from ash today, and mine's comin tomorrow

I'm not too fussed about the backwards compatibility, apparently the 80gb isn't as good for it as the 60 yet (I read ages ago so may have changed). But that's what my ps2's for anyway. the only problem is the old ps2's don't play god of war 2, which is really annoying. Does anyone know if it got released for the ps3?

I could have sworn I read new 60s were due out within a few months... I guess I just read the wrong thing and got confused. Although there is supposed to be some price cuts in June/July for both the 360 and PS3 or is that something else I've misread? lol
