What game/character do you wanna see brought up to date?

Today is Grand Theft Auto IV release day and I was thinking about how much it had changed since the original one came out all those years ago. maybe I'm the only one who prefers the original version?

Anyway, this got me thinking (kinda). A lot of us (elders) love to play the retro games like the ones on Megadrives and even Atari's, not to mention old Spectrum games.

If you could take a game, or a character from these old games and revamp them into a new game for the PS3 or Xbox, what would it be? Personally I would love to see Monty Mole in a game and any game from "Ultimate-Play The Game" made for a PS3.

Any thoughts?

When i was a kid i use to play of my friends computer and i use to like a game called Chucky Egg.

That would be a good game to bring up to date.

Chucky Egg was the first game I ever played. It was on a Toshiba MSX that I got for my christmas. It was one of a bunch of games I got with it, that was the one I played first.

The game(s) I'd like to see on the PS3 would be the Dizzy games. I loved them although I had to cheat to complete them. It was quite funny when an invincible Dizzy would end up going through the water or down a hole that would usually kill him. You'd end up in a completely unrelated part of the game

I know it's not that old, but I'd like to see Final Fantasy 7 redone on the PS3 or 360

I had a spectrum and then an amiga when I was younger. I'd love to see these games again: Double Dragon, Target Renegade, Final Fight, James Pond, Robocod, Kick off, Magic Pockets, Rainbow Islands, New Zealand Story, Speedball 2

Do people not find that when they do bring a game up to date it isn't quite as good as the original? A lot of the games I loved when I was younger are still great games... I've seen a few above e.g. Rainbow Islands, The New Zealand Story.

Did anyone ever play the original Wonderboy? I still rate that as the best platformer. I'd prefer to see it on a retro pack rather than an update though.

But I would not say Wonderboy was the best platform game though :P

I used to hate the text based games, you always got answers like " I can't understand that" and you ended up typing swear words into it. I had one game, whose name escapes me that when I told it where to go, the game simply ended and all you had was the sinclair page

GORF......I played it in the arcades, beside Defender It used to speak to you, didnt it?
