Xbox 360 Wireless Bridge - WORTH IT ?

I'm thinking about getting on of these puppies..i read some reviews on amazon, some are 5 star some are 1 star...some people say it often logs out it's self while playing on-line...

Has any of u bod's got one of these, and are they really worth it,

i have currently a long old Ethernet cable under my bed then under the carpet to the back of my xbox, but having a wireless router in my room, and i want it to be all wireless in my crib i thought why not get xbox live wireless...


So any reviews from u guy's ?

mines fine , had to have one cus the internet comes in at the front of the house and xbox at the back of house , had a bit of a mare setting it up to work wirelessly but been fine ever since

so it never drops off or log's out when playing on line for a bit of time ?

hey its been fine for me never had any probs with it logging me out or dropping off. It's well worth the money

everyone i know who plays live has one of these, they dont fall out or disconnect.

but my friends aren't as computer literate as me, i'm going to save my money and just connect mine through my pc. wouldn't personally waste £50 on it =]

keep yur lead connection unless it's in the way

I'd agree with Ophelia here, it is overpriced. I didn't have much of an option so grudgingly paid for it but I did get a free game with it... which was crap.

I would also like to say that wireless kit can be affected by various signals from other things in your house & your neighbours house. as a Network Engineer I live by the power of the Ethernet Cable

I also have a Ethernet over power system to if you have not heard about this its basically utilises the power cabling in your house as an Ethernet network

Saves having cables running about the house

go for it, i dont play online much but its worked well enough when i have been online. worth it if you ask me, expecially if you can get it free or with vouchers

i've got to say that it's definately worth it to buy. I bought a 2nd hand one on hukdeals but looked brand new anyway, it minuses all the faffing about with routers etc. No guide could get it working with my router.

works superbly, just as if i'm connected via ethernet.

i recon if its as a freebie, well worth it.

if yu have £50 to spare, then it is probably worth chucking the long cable from under your feet.

i'm thinking about buying one of these (for the xbox i havnt even got yet :P) the price does look a bit steep though, especially as my mate managed to do it via the cable thing for a penny on ebay lol dunno if i can be bothered with having the wires going all through my house though

Right I've sent a ticket to FJ for is now and couple of xbox 360 controllers just to get my total to 4, so extra people can play

I'm from the same school of thought, although I use wifi (mainly for my phone and friends/familys laptops etc) I still prefer ethernet cable, by standard its 100mb - and since its electrical cable its less prone to interference - and due to the wifi router/wireless bridge adding a slight delay on processing the signals you will get a very small (most likley to small to measure) loss of ping - but it makes it alot more tidy and less wires floating around, guess its what suits you more

my m8's got one he reckons it works fine most of the time can lag some times etc, also i wanna know can you use like a cheap belkin one or does it have to be a 360 one just a thought.

I did do that originally but I have an 800w PSU. I don't play often but when I do it's for long periods of time so the bill was being run up by the PC. Save all that with the wireless bridge
