| iBook | Re: XBox 360 V2!Microsoft haven't confirmed it though, that picture could be of anything? If it's the same hardware/game compatability and stuff an HDMI port really doesn't bother me and the 120gb hard drive will be available as an add on surely? |

| iBook | Re: XBox 360 V2!Well it could even be a photo of a real Xbox360 with some sort of modification to allow HDMI, this stort is basically made up from one photo which may or may not be real |

| iBook | Re: XBox 360 V2!would love to get to the bottom of this??!? I reckon it's fake/a development photo and nothing will materialise, you can get HD through composite video/vga so why would you need an HDMI? |

![]() | Re: XBox 360 V2!It's real fellas. I've seen a demonstration video. I think Component/VGA can give just as good a signal as HDMI BUT There is the fact that with the current setup, its: Xbox 360 (Digital Signal) --> Outputting via Component/VGA (Analogue) --> HDTV (Converted back to Digital). Gotta be some quality loss in there, even if its only minimal. With the HDMI connection its fully digital. Also, to have a HDMI connection added to the 360 (especially having its own connection port), requires a re-design and updating of the motherboard - which costs a LOT of money to do....so it must be worth it cause I cant see Microsoft spending loads of cash on something that isnt even planned for release. There's also going to be a new 65nm processor (Google it if you dont know what "nm" is) which will result in cooler operation temperatures and faster game loading times - Massively reducing the amount of 360's breaking down (a very common fault). This will probably come as a bit of a kick in the teeth to the early-adopters who ran out to buy 360's, and even those of us who have worked at getting referrals for free 360. Lets just hope Microsoft offers a free/low-cost console upgrade or some form of HDMI adaptor because I can see a lot of people getting very annoyed about this Last edited by Strider; 06-01-07 at 11:02 PM.. |
