The Giveaway Network has kindly sponsored a competition for eXceem, and have donated a Sony PSP for eXceem to give away.

To win, you quite simply need to refer the highest number of new members to eXceem.

To refer a new member to eXceem, you will need to use a special referral link, more information on how the referral system, as well as your link, can be found here. Alternatively there is also a text box on the registration page were you can request people to enter in your username.

The competition will end on Wednesday 9’Th August 2006 at midnight. The winner will be announced within the next 48 hours, to allow us time to check that the referred members are unique.

The rules

1. No spamming of your referral link is allowed, if we receive complaints from other websites complaining of spam, your entry into the competition may be removed, as well as possible further action being taken.

2. No joining up under your link yourself, we can easily track this (if however you wish to refer another family member please pm Jon to let him know)

3. In the event of a draw, the winner will be chosen randomly from the members in the draw.

4. The winner will be the eXceem members who have referred the most new members to eXceem between 12'Th July to 9'Th August. The new referred members must have confirmed their email address by replying to the registration email sent out by the forum software, and made at least one "usefull" post.

These rules may be updated so please keep checking them.

We really must highlight rule 1, we all hate spam, so let’s not add to it.

If you go to your public profile page, underneath the section where it says find posts by...... it says referrals, and has a number by it! That's the number you've referred

Has this become a spamming competition?

I reckon the competition should have been a bit more creative (which can possibly benefit the GA Network and/or Exceem) rather than something that will encourage spamming of pointless posts
