You can put the competition in your signature like I have done but you can't make a thread like this...

Seems to me you can run as many competitions as you want, and even link to them from your sig (provided there is a link back). But exceem (i.e. Jon) will no longer allow eXceem to be associated with the competition, nor will Jon accept requests to moderate and/or pick the winners. After all, why should he?

Run all the competitions you want, make them open to who you want, just don't expect eXceem to endorse them.

Yeah the comp Is a simple referral comp, whoever refers the most people to our forum wins 12 months premium membership and a free football shirt of their choice so the winner would be clear and exceem (jon) would not need to pick the winner

Right, was hoping to get exceems position on competitions finalised earlier but me being under the weather has put that on hold, hopefully I will have something finished tomorrow, but here's were my current thoughts are

Competitions can be posted in the competitions area on eXceem were the competition is open to eXceem members, and entry is free (i.e no pay to enter, no complete offer, no joining of a mailing list,etc) These can be created by eXceem, networks on eXceem as well as members. Restrictions to entry may be allowed but that is something that would have to be discussed on a case by case (i.e members registered on or before the date/time competition started, members that have received less than X gifts,extra only members). Since there is such a massive scope for competition style (from spamming comps to creative ones like the video comp) this again will be on a case by case.

Other competitions will not be allowed to be created in the exceem competitions area,but a new forum, similar in the current online freebies forum will be created were any competition can be posted. A disclaimer will be present in that forum highlighting that eXceem is not responsible nore is endorsing these competitions. All threads will have to be "oked" by a staff member before they are visible, this is to ensure that there is no spaming, and that the competitions fall into the "suitable for family viewing". No links in sig's can point to threads in the online competitions forum , nore to the competitions directly.

While these seam a bit restrictive, I have had to weigh up how much eXceem is seen to be endorsing competitions as well as privacy implementations. In some cases I may allow a member's competition posted in the online competitions forum to be moved to the exceem competitions forum if they feel it is warranted - this will be on a case by case basis and people would need to PM me if they wanted to do this.

I hope this clears things up and gives you a idea of were I am coming from. While I hate having to bring in rules/restrictions complaints made had meant I have had to do this.
