Yes, but a good sense of humour isn't all imo. I mean from a newbie point of view, would you have rather someone who tries to crack one out at every given occasion, or someone who has a balance of helpfulness and humour. I mean, if I'd be a newbie I'd certainly vote for the one who's the most helpful, and quickest to answer, and not the one who's the funniest.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good banter and all, and I'm usually right in the thick of it, but a MOTY should be balanced...

Therefore, I would vote for me....

Joke, it has to be Brian, obviously

yeh that's what i was trying to say. I mean, Arctic has both as you rightly said so he should be MOTY, period. (been meaning to get that final word in a sentence this evening for some unknown reason lol)

I've tried to keep a low profile whilst Fox and the_icks try and beg, borrow and steal votes. At the end of the day though, I can't help thinking that "Member" of the year is the kind of award that the adult movie industry would give out.

omg, people are taking this far too seriously!!!!

it is hardly a feeder award for a Nobel Prize...... I for one refuse to take it seriously, I voted for Brian too!! but if you look at the total number of votes compared to the total number of members its hardly representative!!

What should have been done was a pm sent to all members for their vote, I mean if 97% of the membership cant be arsed to vote how realistic is the award?

About as realistic as any other election these days!

I just noticed, the detox is making a late dash for victory. Could get interesting at the last minute.

I know this will sound like "puke in bucket" time but in my book everyone that was nominated, is a winner and appreciated and that includes onyone who was nominated but didnt have enough nominations to appear in the Polls.

It's not an ego trip but I truly am astounded at getting so many (I think I got 6 last year) and feel very honoured.

I know it says only 88 have voted, but this isnt bad when you consider how many members are actually active on exceem and regular posters.
