Re: Freepay Rant Thread

I used them for my first freebie. an ipod touch. They didn't send it out for 3 months after i had completed the deal. after sending loads of tickets in one weekend (asking if they had scammed me, threatening to report them) they changed the status and it turned up a few weeks later!

While waiting for my ipod, I have ceased activity on my other freepay account and lost about 5 greens due to the time limit

But, being ever trusting in this community, I haven't given up! (like many people would if they hadn't come here)
I'm moving to giveaway now!

I was going through same as Maxxeh about the same time till I eventually asked for Vouchers instead as many people were having more luck with them but yeah since I have done very little. Got 5 out of 8 on wii.RI that I keep meaning to do but can never seem to rack up those greens

::::: Celldorado.com ::::: still seems to be up.

They could have been forced to close down because of the way they 'falsely advertised' the free ringtones. I remember there being a fuss about it a while a go.

There was a big fuss this morning on the news on radio 1 about ringtone subscription services. About how they could be no more!!

Re: Freepay Rant Thread

Are Freepay big enough to absorb the hit if Celldorado haven't or don't pay over commissions that are due? Would that explain why no gifts have been sent out for a while?

I don't want to be a scaremonger or start a witch hunt and have been around long enough to know that Freepay are dreadfully slow anyway, it's gotta be a worry though.

Re: Freepay Rant Thread

freepay would have to be a small company if the hit really affected them. It'l be fine, I mean look at freepay's annual profit. Thats averaging 10m with only 12 employees to pay. source: Gratis Internet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It now appears that this information is incorrect. The message sent out by the publisher was misleading.

Re: Freepay Rant Thread

It really annoys me how Freepay are eXceem supported. Think about new members to eXceem who have yet to read through the site to any depth, and find out which sites they should try first. It just makes them leave the freebie scene thinking they've been scammed, and every such site is a scam.

This particularly pisses **(is that word allowed on here lol)** me off as I can't even get my site into the Not Yet Supported section of eXceem (well it should be on soon... just waiting on a few checks to go through).

Basically if this was a poll, I'd vote demoting Freepay into the Not Yet Supported section, more likely than not it wouldn't affect them but it might give them a much needed kick into action lol

not very often you see a network owner slating another network and i'm sure if freepay weren't supported by exceem, it really wouldn't have any effect on them.. for all the rants ppl have about them, they still answer support tickets (okay so its mostly an automated reply), they still credit offers and they still send out gifts.. not the fastest of networks but when it comes to a freebie, i'm sure its worth the wait..

lol, don't make it out like that... it's clear to see from all the threads on here they are not a good network for the reasons I gave, particularly for unsuspecting newbies to the freebie scene. As for 'slating' another freebie network, you won't here me 'slating' any of the UK networks. I have nothing but respect for these networks and trying to start off my own network by 'slating' them wouldn't be a good start lol...

Yup, totally agree with you there Cd02, not exactly inspiring from someone who will be wanting us to sign-up if their site ever gets featured.

May I direct you to the first post in this thread. I simply made a statement showing where I stand with FreePay and my particular angst when it comes to new eXceem members seeing it as supported. All the other supported networks that come to mind, I believe, deserve to be there, but at the moment with the number of negative threads regarding FreePay I find it frustrating that they should get a place next to the networks who are pulling their weight. Also the first post stated that people should be allowed to air their opinions without being flamed... is this what's starting to happen to me lol

Ah well...

I have done, but got p*ssed off with the signup process which blasted me with offers that would count for nothing, and it made me think would I really want to put a referral through this.

EDIT: I don't mind seeing a few lead based offers that generates a little extra income for the site, but what I got on that day was rediculous, whether it was just me or what lol.

EDIT 2 lol: It's not that I won't slate a UK network, it's that I have no reason to. If FreePay was a UK network not pulling it's weight I wouldn't have said anything any differently. If you had read the following sentence you would have seen that I said I had nothing but respect for those networks, hence no reason to 'slate'.

Yeah but as a Network Owner you should be able to rise above getting into rants about other Networks.. The only person you'll give a bad name is yourself..

And I seriously think that people should o
