![]() | best to promote site or direct link?Hi I'm new to all this and just wondering if i have promotion cards printed to hand out is it best to put the freebiejeebies web address with my code on them, or the URL for my site (which then links through to freebiejeebies). My concern is that by linking to my site you add another link in the chain where the visitor might back out - but then again you get the chance to sell them the idea? hmm.. |

| iPod Nano 1GB | Re: best to promote site or direct link?I'd personally give my link straight to the free network and cut out my site. You see promo links all the time these days and a 5 digit number at the end has every chance of being entered directly e.g. www.virginmedia.com/tvpromo Saying that it's not expensive to get flyers printed, so maybe its worth canvasing different areas with different links to compare the results |

![]() ![]() | Re: best to promote site or direct link?If you have confidence in your sites ability to sell it to them then direct people to your site first. I initially tried that but found people weren't clicking my referral link so I then tried directing them straight to the freebie site and hoping that would sell it to them instead. |
