This may sound cheeky ... sorry! Getting Greens .. will my method work

Hi

I won't really be cheeky ... just thought id grab ur attention

I signed up to freebie jeebies site ... looking to get a 16 GB iPhone (15 referrals required).

So far (today) I have two people who has clicked and signed up but they havn;t completed an offer

My Method So Far ...

1. Youtube vid (with link to my site ... so far 346 views from 2 weeks)
2. 2 sites I have done which shows how to do it, why it works and CNN reports saying its true (youtube vids just search for em)
3. well thats it

Wanna try (please tell me your feedback if these work)

1. Local shop advertising like in the window A4 page
2. MAking either business cards or flyers and distributing around town or city centre (probably do it in another town than my own lol)
3. Newspaper ads

Although these three mean actually paying for things and so kinda defies the point (although saying that if only cost like £50 then worth it for the savings of buying one myself).

Well so far I have only two people both which I checked today and they both signed up ... not sure where they have got my link from whether it was youtube vid or the websites

Well my websites atm haven't got any traffic buyt reading from some threads here and other forums think its SEOs that I need to do.

Can anyone please give feedback on my method(s)

I been doing this for about a month or so and so far got my first two sign ups to freebiejeebies (but no offer completions yet). Is this standard? or really slow! (feels slow to me - but i'll be patient)

Is it worth sending them an email or something to ask em if they have any questions?

Im sure i saw a email template in exceem ... anyone know where that is?

Without wanting to sound harsh, these have all been discussed throughout exceem and the pro's and con's of each are well documented. If you want feedback on the methods etc the best thing to do is to search for relevant threads and see what was said there.

You may even find things you hadn't thought of which could be of use.

I am in the same boat as you , I have done the same methods but still get reds instead of greens.

We should really come up with some good ideas ... what is it that you have done?

Think it could be a case of quantity with quality too ...

Youtube ads
Free Ad websites
Advertise programes
Forum sginatures
Top List sites
Search Submissions

Also one idea I have is to print off lots of lables and stick them around places like bus stops. I have tried this once but people just rip them off, so may be a bit pointless.

Another idea is to print lots of lables and slip them into computer game mags

So far using the above methods I got 6 reds at the moment .... gonna email these people and see if can turn them into greens.

Are you aware that you can get the 16gb iphone for 7 refs on giveaway or the 8gb for 5? If you join the conga you coul get an iphone for 3refs.

i've had 212,149 quality clicks on my youtube vids, with close to 700 sign ups, but only 21 greens ... i guess you need to work the percentages, but get quality traffic. (no boob thumbnails, posted as replys to most watched videos etc...)

gd luck tho...

join exceem extra and get your website reviewed for sure ...

too many underage people see youtube, once they realise they need a credit card they are stumped.
better targetted traffic is the way.

Hey!! im new to all of this =] and i signed up to FJ. i have so far (ive been signed up for 3 days) and i have 1 refferal... but tis red/purple.. i will assume there the same... and ive made a youtube video, posted a bulliten on mypace and sent out 50 or so emails to people i dont know (i think it was worth a try). now i have been reading around and it says start with small stuff.... but i realllly reallly want a macbook 2.4ghz. and its 35 refferals >.>
im prepared for the fact i have to wait for ever, but is there anyway to speed it up a little bit?
i like some of the ideas in here though... any other anyone knows of? (as an effective way to get greens?)

no offence however if someone does know a way to get greens they are not going to shout it out as then it will become flooded and therefore less chance they will get their greens.

A good way to start is with a website, even a free one will do just fine!

thanks for the advise. ive made a very sort of basic website... but weather people find it or nots a different matter, so i assume its just a waiting game from here then? (one thing i havent got round to doing is making a banner which i will do soon)

Get some mates to spread around the link

I did it and i have like 40 odd reds on FJ :P not one green xD But still i got some people. So just make one, shove it on a youtube video and get mates to spread it xD

I think a youtube vid is a bad idea. It might have been a good idea once but after a while, a new (good) idea becomes an old (bad) idea. So many people have put these vids on youtube that it waters down the number of people that see yours.
Add to that the number of scammer kids on youtube pulling the same ploy means more and more people are shying away from believing youtube vids.

You need something fresh, something new and unusual, something that grabs peoples attention, the sort of people who won't have considered this sort of thing before.

my advise: make one site with a decent address and work on it as much as possible. If you have lots of traffic you have lots of refs. Give SEO a try.

I have only been on freebiejeebies a month. i started by getting my mum n dad, sister, cousin, nana n grandad and 2 anite and uncles to sign up got my my nano took a photo and then told all my friends on facebook in almost 2 weeks i have had about 35 sign ups and out of that i have 2 greens 8 pendings and about 4 people who are "unsure". i also email my reds regually to keep them upto date i have had 3 of my pendings from the emails. i just find braging to people works great.
