Depends on which points site you're on; Kudos will give you a percentage of what your referral earns forever - FreebieJeebies will give you a minimum of 500 points when a ref completes their first offer (more depending on the offer they complete). But points sites are more DIY - you can complete multiple offers to earn the points without referrals.
