![]() | Re: Freepay Rant ThreadI've sat back and read all the freepay threads with great interest. From my point of view, I started Freepay at the end of Dec07 and its now the end of April 08 and I've yet to see anything from them. Send gifts out in the end - when???? Dec2010??? |

And yes the more experienced exceemers know Freepay will send out the gifts eventually. But newer members don't. I'm sure I've read posts saying this is a pattern with Freepay but how do we know for sure. How do we know this time there isn't financial trouble behind the scenes and keeping the money instead of buying and sending out gifts isn't the only thing keeping the company going under.

![]() ![]() | Re: Freepay Rant Threadfreepay are fantastic ive had over 5k from them. but they are crap with support and sending out gifts, 1 sticky at the top of the freepay section outlining all this would be enough for people to make an educated descision whether to use them or not. if they do then get on with it, stop moaning move on to another site and get more greens before you know it freepay will have coughed up. yes im waiting for £1100 worth of goods from them but sod it i know in the end they will payout ive moved on and working on FJ now 16gb iphone and another 18 greens later im still going strong.

![]() ![]() | Re: Freepay Rant ThreadI agree about them treating orders with less urgency just because we didn't actually pay them. I believe freebie networks should treat each account as though it were paying them for the items. I've used freepay for a few things and I was happy with the referral requirements but I would actually persuade people not to sign up now because they just take too long. I could put up with the wait because eventually I would get it and freepay didn't require as much effort as other sites. Coupled with the wait is the crappy support, so I would say stay well clear.

And another point. If people stopped using freepay to get their free items they wouldn't get any money in in the same way as a shop or any other business.

| Jeremy Irons-TrueorFalse | Re: Freepay Rant ThreadI truly believe Freepay have financial problems. The ringtone offers have been discussed and debated, and we have always wondered why iPod Touches are 5 refs when commission from the ringtones is £4.50. In my experience, alot of the time, they haven't taken the money that should have been taken. The abuse of the offers can be done in many different ways, and it's very easy to do. The lack of cashflow has caught up on them. The lack of capital means less advertising (I've noticed Freepay "click the monkey bleh bleh" adverts don't come along as ofton as they used to) This means less customers are coming along, which means more trouble for the cashflows. Along with the evergrowing awareness of how to play the freebie game by this forum, along with others, tutorials, websites, all explaining what to do and what not to do, it's been much easier to complete these sites. The market is saturated with these websites, and it is now becoming common knowledge. Freepay now are facing a backlog of orders. They are forced to verify account that have been waiting because there is no way of them dispuing they have completed the requirements wrongly. This means another order to the backlog. The trickles of vouchers coming through doesn't mean anything, they're keeping people sweet. People who have complained and written long and forceful support tickets are the ones who seem to have forced Freepay to move. Perhaps they have lost an employee, or they are coping with personal tragedy. I highly doubt it though. If this is the case, employing temporary staff could be a solution, and hopefully that could get it moving. If my theories are correct, they need to get new offers NOW. As much I like the ringtone offers as the next person, they obviously don't generate the income needed to run a good and reliable freebie site. Ask freebiejeebies, who have refused to add the offers, for good reason. LOL, I'm gonna make everyone panic, but I'm putting my business knowledge and building thoughts at rest. Not so much a rant, but a possible reason why Freepay are sucking right now. I don't have any bad feelings towards them, to be honest. I'm owed a jersey, but am not in desperate need of it. Maybe I'm wrong about everything, but at least I'm thinking of reasons why Freepay are in peril instead of complaining every two minutes. Thanks, Tom.

| ...that never gets used | Re: Freepay Rant ThreadYeah if Freepay are only getting £5 max for the offers then it would seem they have been relying on the revenue from people not completing the sites in order to afford the gifts for those that do. And now people are becoming more aware of how to complete the sites correctly and trading to do the sites on time they may be finding problems. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Freepay Rant ThreadSo if everyone started working on freepay correctly, effectively, freepay would have to ship out a £199 ipod touch in exchange for ~£25

| ...that never gets used | Re: Freepay Rant ThreadI don't know, it was just conjecture since Freepay's business model seems a bit dodgy really. The other freebie sites getting more per offer will be able to make enough to buy the products and make a profit. But if freepay are only getting £5 per green I don't see how they can do the same. |
