AppleForFree Launch Competition

[ForFree4U]

We're running a competition to win a 4GB iPod Nano, to mark the launch of AppleForFree on ForFree4U. This isn't the usual "refer as many people as you can" competition, as we're aware that these are often a one horse race. We're going to award the competition prize to the member who puts the most effort into their referring, so this won't necessarily be the person who refers the most users.

The decision will take into account how much you've spread the word, how creative your referring efforts have been, as well as the number of referrals you've had. We ask that you post about your referring below, or, if you'd prefer, to PM details to us.

The competition will close on Monday, November 4, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

One small thing, isnt the 4th November a Sunday and not Monday? I usually wait until everyone else has entered before I have a shot

Yep, you're right - the competition will end on Sunday, and not Monday!

The problem with this competition is that people effectively need to post their methods to win, which most people won't want to do I suggest.

I take it refering people to your own site, and changing your links to the forfree4u links will be acceptable rather than a direct link to the forfree4u site?

Its just that for what I have in mind, my link is too long lol

Ok, here's my entry. I was going to PM this to forfree4u or wait until the last minute to see what other entries had been received but I thought my "method" for the competition was something that one or two of you might want to try or at least give you time to think about it.

Well, here goes. Might sound crap but theres no such thing as a "bad method" if it gets any interest.

Thought I would mix business with pleasure so my idea (with help from the kids) is to dress up the scarecrow that the youngest kid is taking to our local bonfire on Saturday night, with a white T-shirt that will have my website names printed on it for all to see, and our bonfires usually a big un.

So, scarecrow + t-shirt + backpack with leaflets and cards promoting my site (which will have the relevant links directed to forfree4u (or is it appleforyou?). Simple huh? Might get no referals but at least it's different and thanks to Google analytics I can see if any local peeps have visited my site.

Now, it's your turn so hurry, unless you really really want me to win another competition, bwahahahaha

hehe, i'll share one of my wacky methods :P on the way back home on Tuesday after work, something caught my eye lol. I noticed someone had wrote "CLEAN ME NOW" on a dirty old van. Then the little glowing bulb appeared above my head :P

I decided to sneak around drawing my ref link onto the sides/backs of some dirty cars I could find.

YES! i'm that desperate but it was worth a try. The cars would be driving around, and my link would hopefully be seen by a few people :P

I've not got any refs yet from it *bummer* but I thought i'd give it a go. I'd go the next step, and spraypaint my ref link on the cars/vans :P but i'm not a chav :P nor do I want to be

My method was to go on this forum I was active on. And tell them I would give em forum money to register =D. So far loadddssss have joined!
