The first of many interviews with networks featured on eXceem, starts with the freebiejeebies network eXceem: Hi, thanks for agreeing to do this interview, firstly tell me your names?
Richard: I'm Richard, moviedrome on the forums
Alex: I'm Alex, Monkeyegg on the forums
eXceem: Apart from running freebie sites what other hobbies do you have?
Richard: Apart from running freebie sites……. ? Erm, I have no free time to do anything anymore!
Alex: No, he doesn't... except going to the pub! I like going to pub quizzes - I try to make sure I take at least one intelligent person with me to make up for me. Other than that, no we really don't get any spare time, especially having day jobs that keep us both out of the house about 12 hours a day!!
eXceem: What made you decide to start a freebie site?
Richard: Erm, this is actually a very difficult question! I got involved by signing up to a few of the well known sites and to be honest I thought they were scams. So I went away and did my research and decided that they probably weren’t scams after all – I stumbled across exceem and I then knew that I was on to a winner. At work one day talking to Alex about it (and getting her to sign up as a referral obviously!) and said to her ‘Wouldn’t it be great if we were the ones giving the stuff out for free?’ and to my surprise she said ‘Yes’ (Although she did think it was a hare brained scheme at the time, she’s come around now!)
Alex: I wasn't convinced Richard would actually manage to get the sites up and running so I thought nothing of saying 'yes.' I'm glad I did now though because it can be hard work but it can also be very rewarding, and not just for our customers
eXceem: What makes you think you are better than the rest?
Richard: We’re not better than the rest – but we will be. We’re still fairly new at this, but I hope we’re doing a good job so far. Our customer service is top notch and we try to be as fair and competitive as we possibly can. I won’t claim to be perfect, we’ve made mistakes but we’ve learned from them – and I hope that will set us as everyone’s favourite network one day.
Alex: It's still early days and we don't claim to be the best but we set ourselves high standards and aim to keep improving our network.
eXceem: Whats the hardest part about running a freebie site?
Richard: The sheer amount of time it takes up! I have no life anymore….
Alex: Verification days!! It is time-consuming, with lots of work behind the scenes, but then if we weren't running a freebie site, we'd probably still spend half our lives staring at a monitor promoting someone else's
eXceem: How important do you rate the eXceem community while running your site?
Richard: Who? No, I’m only kidding – we wouldn’t be here without you lot – the support from your members has been amazing, well apart from Darius, but we all make exceptions for him… – and I hope we live up to your expectations and let us know when we don’t! You’ll all know us from chatting on the forum as we both try to be as active as we can.
Alex: We both rate eXceem very highly, and find ourselves recommending the forum to our customers more and more. There's a really good community spirit (most of the time!) and people are so helpful, it's like having a third member of our team sometimes.
Richard: Especially when people answer questions for us! Keep it up guys!
eXceem: Any chance of eXceem only specials !
Richard: Of course! We’re always trying to think of great new competitions for the exceemers!
Alex: ... in fact, I think we must be about due another one!
eXceem: What are your future plans for your freebie site?
Richard: I can’t say! It’s a secret… FJ3 remember!
Alex: Sssshhh!!!!
Richard: Sorry, I can’t help it! I’m excited!
