| iPod 200gb | Re: What is the deal with tickle tests?Someone has been reading old threads!!! They were these things where you pay £3/£6 or something like that, do a personal survey, recieve the results and that counted as a credit. You could also do two a month and there were LOADS of them... They were by far the most popular offer.

![]() | Re: What is the deal with tickle tests?Yes, I have seen them listed on old threads, as well as a conga I just signed up under. I live in the US though, so I think they still can apply to me.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: What is the deal with tickle tests?Aye they were a basic test which cost around $5, which you would answer a number of questions and it would tell you a few bits of information based on your answer. Once you completed your test you had to join the tickle site which had a monthly subscription fee, but you could cancel from this and still keep your green. The problem lied was that some users discovered it was possible to do some of these tests twice, as well as doing multiple tickle tests (they had around 15 different tests), and soon it was really easy to complete a site just by doing tickle tests! Some network owners became aware of the fact that it was possible for multiple tests to be done, and while most advised against this (its a common norm not to do the same offer twice) a few advised people they could do the same offer more than once. Tickle were obviously loosing money on this since the cost of the user paid for the test did not cover what the free gift network received in commission, and in the last month of the tickle offer before tickle stopped it, around 75% of users had done multiple tickle tests. There is alot more to it than that, but that gives you a basic overview of what the score was. I think a limited number of USA sites do have tickle tests again but none available to the UK as far as im aware.
